On the wire

with 3 comments

I did a portrait of Aaron Brown, the former CNN Anchor who teaches here at ASU, last week. The photo went out with a press release about his new show that got put out on the AP wire… and it’s everywhere!

I would have liked it to have been a better picture, but it’s the one he picked. I will post the others here later.! Woo!

Family time

We finally got the family together for a picture while Aunt Karen was here visiting from Georgia. So for those who don’t know my family, here they are.

The wind was blowing so hard, I only got these two group shots…

My ferociously courageous twin sis Mariel… and her three-and-a-half-year-old Natalie.

My mom… look behind her and you can see where I get the gardening bug from…

Packard Stadium

Our baseball stadium always has the prettiest sunsets. Shooting Saturday’s game was so pleasant because I was the only one up on the dugout. I guess no one wanted to watch us get our asses kicked by Oregon State…

My Camera Hand!

with 5 comments

Apparently doing dishes instead of homework at midnight is a bad idea… especially when the glass you’re washing breaks in your hands.

Thanks to Amelia and her mom, we got into urgent care just fine. Three stitches later and I am good to go… just don’t expect me in classes tomorrow.

It was scary, (and I cried a lot) but Amelia held my hand. I tried photographing, and it is almost impossible to use the click wheel, but I should be back to normal in a few days. Stitches come out in a week.

This was really dark, the color was horrible and the grain and noise is the real thing… but this is the same dude as the steeplechase picture, after he bested his time and won this race. It was funny, he had this fleeting moment of self congratulation, then he just wiped it off his face and walked away. Strange.
