Snow Day at the Zoo

with one comment

About 60 tons of snow were delivered to the Phoenix Zoo Saturday for the kids and animals to play in. Some, like this ostrich below, didn’t know what to make of it.

The kids definitely welcomed it. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of when we would get snow delivered to our elementary school; there is just something magical about wearing snow gloves and swimsuits in 105 degree weather.

Stupid me didn’t bring my assignment sheet, so I didn’t know that there was a bunch of interactive stuff with the animals… too bad I missed that :(
