More Trey

Lisa and I spent the day with Trey, his brothers Drake (below) and Broc at their house yesterday.
Trey has to do stretches to keep his bones and muscles limber. Since he lacks enzymes to break down waste, his body gets clogged with the stuff, which can result in weak bones, hardening of the skin, corneal clouding and stunted growth. His parents are doing all they can to keep him as flexible and healthy as possible.

Most people with Trey’s disease, MPS VI, don’t live to be more than fifteen years old.
