Blueberry picking
Yesterday I shot blueberry picking in Cheshire, Conn. The berries were delicious and I made a great dinner with sweet corn, sweet potatoes and green beans. I love these kinds of assignments.

I like what you’re seeing here, Bettina.
And that’s not just because I love blueberries.
I like this shot because of the two hands and what is in the first one and not in the second one, it’s a unique shot.
But I wish your composition emphasized this hand contrast more, know what I mean? Either something tighter, less stuff on the sides, or maybe one full hand in the foreground, and the other reaching hand in the background. I guess I don’t like the inclusion of the stuff here on the sides, mostly. It would be different if there was a really spectacular landscape behind her or something and you had shot from lower, but the off-balanced greenery just takes my eye away from the hands, which, like I said, have a neat contrast between them, which it is pretty cool that you saw.

Morgan, thanks for your ever-insightful comments. You do love your blueberries. I wish I would have gotten her feet in the frame, but the sides don’t bother me so much.

Awwww, I love berry-picking in CT. I would do that in my cousins’ backyard in Orange. Love you B!
