I focused on this crowd cause I thought they’d be the ones to throw hats – turns out I was wrong.

magazine scam

leave a comment »

These poor girls were scammed into the glorious life of magazine sales – when reporter Mark Spencer and I found them, they were stranded in the Hartford bus station. My mom told me she’s been down this hard path before, luckily her mom could bail her out. Never sign up to sell magazine subscriptions, it’s a scam!

Southington Seven

with one comment

Dan True owns seven goats, that many a Southington resident and their children love to visit and feed. They turned out in full force last night to show the Zoning Board of Appeals who’s boss, so Farmer Danny gets to keep his goats on his family’s property, which they had previously deemed too small for the farm animals.

Wintertime

with 3 comments

I woke up to falling snow on New Years Eve. It was just light enough to where I felt comfortable to drive… I’m still an Arizona driver, not used to all of this snow and ice. Never have I seen ‘low traction’ flash across the dashboard of my car so many times until now.

So I went down the street to photograph these trees that I drive past everyday. Kevin suggested I use them as a christmas card next year. Don’t be surprised if you get these from me on cards next year.

As I walked back to my car I thought the playground in Pope Park looked like a fairytale. And I was lucky enough to have this nice guy who wished me a Happy New Year walk through the frame and cover up an ugly trash can (it’s right in front of him).

Then I headed to Rocky Hill to try and find a traffic shot. But who wants to shoot traffic when you find kids sledding instead? One of the editors at the paper calls me the ‘kid photographer’. Ah well.
